A total of 11 water samples were collected and analyzed in Chocorua Lake from May 3 through October 4, 2019. Read an analysis of the 2019 Chocorua Lake Water Quality Report here.
The results of ten sampling events during the summer of 2018 show that the water quality of Chocorua Lake this past year was outstanding, falling within the “oligotrophic/excellent” range for fresh water lakes in New Hampshire.
I have the great pleasure to announce that thanks to generous support from many existing and new donors, the CLC has exceeded its $1.85 million goal for our Timeless Chocorua capital campaign…
The water quality of Chocorua Lake continued to be excellent through the spring, summer and fall of 2016. Water clarity, chlorophyll-a (a measure of suspended algal growth) and total phosphorous were all well within the excellent range.
Ongoing interest in the health of Chocorua Lake began in the mid-1970s when college students in freshwater biology classes at UNH started coming to the lake on field trips to practice water sampling techniques they had learned in class.
