Each year we ask local businesses if they would like to support our mission of protecting the scenic and natural resources of the Chocorua Lake Basin and creating safe and attractive public access to the lake and surrounding woods. Business support helps us keep public areas clean and protect the shore from the wear and tear of human use, improve habitat for native plants and animals on our conserved lands, maintain the historic Narrows Bridge between Chocorua and Little Lake, and host volunteer workdays and educational events that build community and help people learn more about the natural world of which we are a part.
Chocorua Lake and the amazing views of the mountain from the lake and from the Basin View Lot, where we’re currently creating safer parking and a dedicated viewing area, are significant landmarks in this area, and the lake receives thousands of visitors from near and far each year. Business partners are recognized at our lake kiosks, as well as in our print newsletter that goes to all 1,500 households in the vicinity of Chocorua and all of our donors, in our monthly e-newsletters, on our website, and more. You can find details here, download a donation form here, or donate online here.
We know these are strange times, good for some businesses and very hard on others. We are grateful for the many small businesspeople that keep our community going. For those that wish to support our work, we have lowered the base Business Partner rate to $50 and created more donation tiers. The deadline this year is July 31. We are so grateful for the support our work has received from the local business community, and wish all of our local businesses the best in this time of change and adaptation.
