Stories from an Expert Wildlife Tracker

  • Cook Memorial Library 93 Main Street Tamworth, NH 03886 (map)

Many of our ancestors would have been able to recognize sights, smells, and sounds in the landscape to alert them to the other-than-humans sharing spaces with them. While this knowledge isn’t always passed down now from generation to generation, we can still learn it.

On Friday, April 18 at 6 PM, join Chocorua Lake Conservancy and Cook Memorial Library, in partnership with New England Wildlife Tracking, for an evening of Stories from an Expert Wildlife Tracker with Nate Harvey. In this informal talk, Nate Harvey hopes to inspire us to look for signs of wildlife with stories about following trails and information that might help with track and sign identification. Nate plans to tailor his comments to the experience of those present and questions that may come up. The Cook Library is wheelchair accessible.

Nate Harvey trains and certifies wildlife trackers, from beginners to professionals, for CyberTracker Conservation in both Trailing and Track & Sign Identification.  Additionally, he teaches Trailing in workshops near his home in southern Vermont and around the US and Europe.
