Volunteers make possible many facets of the Chocorua Lake Conservancy’s stewardship work. They come to know the organization well and we are grateful for the ideas and guidance they share with us.
On Tuesday, October 4, from 9-10:30AM at the Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth, the Chocorua Lake Conservancy (CLC) invites current and prospective CLC volunteers to join us behind the Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth for conversation, learning, tea and coffee, and light breakfast treats. We’ll begin with an interactive exercise with new CLC Stewardship Director Debra Marnich to help us learn to identify trees by their bark. The breakfast is an opportunity to meet Deb and CLC Board President Penny Wheeler-Abbott, hear from Deb and CLC Executive Director Alex Moot about takeaways from the Land Trust Alliance Rally in September, and share your ideas and observations about conservation, climate, and more with CLC staff and board members. We hope you can join us! Please register in advance at below so that we know how many people to expect.
