Nature Journaling Workshop

  • The Island, Chocorua Lake (map)

Nature journaling is a wonderful way to connect with nature, learn observational skills, and notice changes in the natural world from season to season.

Join us for nature journaling with naturalist Lynne Flaccus at the Bowditch Reserve at the north end of Chocorua Lake, no experience necessary! Participants will be introduced to simple activities that encourage observation in the natural world and fun ways to record those observations.

All ages are welcome, but kids should be accompanied by an adult. We’ll explore the shore of the Reserve and wander the woods looking for interesting things to observe using journals as a tool for learning about what surrounds us. If you came to the April workshop, bring your journal along. If not, then bring your favorite notebook or paper, or use some of our supplies to make your own mini journal for the morning. We’ll have a few pencils, but you are welcome to bring any of your favorite drawing tools.

The workshop is free, but please call 603-323-6252 to register so we have enough materials. Meet in front of the Kiosk at The Island parking area at Chocorua Lake at 9:00 and we’ll go from there!
