Come spend a beautiful autumn morning with friends and neighbors tidying the stretch of Route 16 that runs along Chocorua Lake. CLC volunteers have been cleaning up Route 16 since 2003, when the CLC adopted the two miles of highway from Heavenly Hill to the north end of the lake.
On Sunday, October 13, from 8:45-10:30AM, join the Chocorua Lake Conservancy for our annual Columbus Day Weekend “Adopt-a-Highway” Trash Pickup along Route 16. We’ll meet in The Grove by Chocorua Lake, near the Narrows Bridge at the end of Chocorua Lake Road, at 8:45, and we usually finish by 10 or 10:30. Please come with gloves and good walking shoes. CLC Stewardship Director Lynne Flaccus and CLC Lake Patrol Officer Troy Emerson, will provide trash bags and will have a number of high-visibility vests available for your safety. We hope to see you there. More helpers means we all finish faster!
